Jean wanted to wash her Jazz after dinner. Drove in to a Caltex station for the job. Was told that machines were no longer used coz they leave scratches on the car. In replacement was several man (think they're from China) doing the labour.
Was impressed that they used a pipe to spray the detergent onto the car. A couple of guys then started to even out the detergent onto the car with large sponges, thus removing the stains. After which, they use a powerful water-spray to clear out the detergent. They also slashed a large pail of water onto the wind-screen, which really startled me. I was stunned for about 2 seconds before we all started laughing. Well, kinda of forget that we were in a car when that guy did that :P
The $4 job was generally well done except for a couple of extremely stubborn stains of the bird shit. It would have been cheaper if they had purchased a "10-wash package". Oh well.
