Finally watched both Part 1 & 2. Nothing much to complain about the visual effects. Though the dialogs were a little hilarious, they were not as bad as some other movies in the similar category.
As "ZhuGe Liang"(诸葛亮), the roles & dialogs of Takashi Kaneshiro was truely a classic: -
1. When asked by Tony Leung (周瑜) if he really knows how to deliver a calf (EP1), his answer was "略懂".
2. Upon witnessing the everyday practice on 周瑜's army strategy (EP1), his comments was "过时了".
3. In EP2, in the scene where the direction of the wind changes during battle. He acted as though the change was caused by his "chantings" & the way he moves his hand-carry fan.
First got to know Zhang Feng Yi (张丰毅) in 《清宫风云》as Duo Er Gun (多尔衮), eventhough he was supposed to be more famous in 《霸王别姬》(Farewell my concubine). Felt he was truly a good actor and carried the roles of Cao Cao very well.
Tony Leung as Zhou Yu (周瑜) seems a little strange. Most likely was because of his small built. But in general, it was ok. No surprises from the Golden-Horse award winner though.
Enjoyment of this movie? 7/10.
