My Membership card is expiring this month. Hence, gotta finish using all my accumulated rebates before they're being forfeited. As Irene and I were browsing excitedly at the website for ideas, we were dismayed to see that all our favorite items were jacked up by SGD$2.00 each! i.e. The Tea Tree Mattifying Day Cream used to be $22.90, now $24.90 ~ 8.73% increase!
When GST was 1st jacked up from 5% to 7%, TBS had put up a sign telling customers that they were absorbing the increase in GST. What a good marketing strategy :\ Guess they are now increasing the prices, and it's more than enough to cover their "loss" (in profit most probably) for previous years. The GSS sales ain't that attractive either. Used to be at least 30% and up to 55% if I remember correctly. Now, it's only a miserable 25%- 45% ...
Oh my ... the insignificant increase in my salary is not even enough to cover inflation. Now this ... *SOBZ*
