Bravo Italy – [ROME] – Meeting

Many weren't on time and it was about 3pm before we started off instead of 2pm. Noticed that most of the "ang mos" in our tour group wore slippers. Hmmm … interesting ...

As stated in the itinerary, Dario, our tour leader from Topdeck, brought us to the Trevi Fountain, via the "MRT". Gave each of us the tickets he had pre-purchased. It's the 1st time I join a tour group that require us to take local trains. Usually, we have coaches. On the bright side, we get to try out the city life in ROME. He warned us to be careful with our bags though, as there's gypsies who does pick-pocket as a living.

I find the trains artistically vandalized, while HJ thought otherwise. We had an uneventful train-ride to our destination. It was a HOT afternoon. Really glad that I insisted on bringing 10 short/sleeveless tops on top of the few long-sleeve ones that Mom forced me to bring.

The place was very crowded, probably becoz it was a Sunday. Took plenty of pictures around before settling down for dinner. We gals were rather anti-social and sat at a table of our own. Actually, the rest were basically doing the same. :P

The waiter who served our table doesn't look friendly. And again, we had communication problem. Things began to look better after Jo jokingly told the waiter that we flew over 14 hours from S'pore just to see him. He began to sing & dance when serving us! *We later found out from Dario that the guy is actually from Egypt!

We had an early night since we need to wake up at 6am in the next morning. Didn't manage to get any new shoes as most of the shops are closed by 8pm.
