Bravo Italy – [VENICE] – Day

Breakfast area was separated into 2. One of them was labeled as "buffet", but not the other. There wasn't much difference between the 2, besides the quantity & cereal. Me & HJ went to the non-buffet side as it was less crowded. Wonder if there's a difference in pricing though.

Reached the bus-stop after breaky, only to realized I couldn't find the bus tickets which Dario passed to us the previous day! Wanted to run back to get my tics while the others go ahead, but was forbidden by Dario. He passed me his return tic and ask me to buy another for my return trip.

Wondered where I was suppose find a tobacco shop to get a return ticket. Thankfully, found my tickets being sandwiched between my camera cloth. Whew!

Venice was amazing. My skills & Ixus110 can never capture its beauty. Enjoyed our 30mins gondola ride (€19) with Jasmine & Dave, which ended all too soon. Dario brought us to a lace shop which sold many beautiful lace. Also led us to a glass shop which demonstrated how glass was being produced.

Learnt that different glass colors (red, blue, green etc) actually have different price, and red is the most expensive becoz of the material used to obtain the color. The owner was very humorous. Saying that most ppl buy red for their mums & not their mum-in-law, as there can only be 1 mum, but might have more than 1 for the other. He also demonstrated how hard the glass is by knocking it hard on the glass table twice, and that doing it a 3rd time will cause it to break. Also knock the glass onto his bald head, saying that he was well-trained since the mum-in-law often does that.

After lunch, HJ & XJ went to visit the building beside St Marks, which was supposed to be "the place where the rich stayed". That cost €17. Me & Jo weren't really interested and walked around instead. It was around 2++pm and we settled to meet at 3.30pm. As I was wondering around, noticed that prices of the shops decreased as it located further away from St Marks. Dario did warn us about that.

Apparently, the place was really big as those 2 didn't come out till 4pm. HJ said that the most interesting part of it was actually the jail, which was really eerie. No pictures allowed inside.

Went around and passed by a Chinese Restaurant. That got us really excited!! Promised ourselves to have dinner inside later on.
